Shawn Tock was called to the Ontario Bar in 2006 and joined Landy Marr Kats LLP as an associate in 2013. Shawn’s practice focuses on commercial litigation, including real estate, construction, and debtor & creditor matters. Prior to joining Landy Marr Kats, Shawn practiced commercial litigation and white collar criminal defense with a boutique firm in Toronto. In 2008, he was admitted to the New York State bar and practiced commercial litigation with a boutique firm in New York.
Shawn has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Court of Appeal for Ontario, the Supreme Court of the State of New York, the Eastern and Southern District Courts for the State of New York, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
Shawn earned his LL.B. from Dalhousie University, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the law school’s monthly newspaper. While in law school, Shawn volunteered with the Nova Scotia Legal Information Line and worked as an intern at the Israeli Ministry of Justice in Jerusalem. Shawn completed his undergraduate studies at McGill University in Montreal, where he graduated with great distinction with a B.Sc. in Psychology.
